I'm Julian Schoonhoven. I'm 15. I write the code myself. Here's the real story, no corporate gloss.

Where it started

I'm still in secondary school in Amsterdam. Every week I watch the same machine fail: a teacher calls in sick, someone opens a spreadsheet, phones start ringing, and the timetable falls apart before first period. I felt that friction as a student who loses lessons to gaps and last-minute room changes. One evening after rowing practice, I stopped complaining and opened a code editor. AcadeStack began as a personal refusal to accept that schools should still wait overnight for a basic recompute.

Why now

This only became possible in the last couple of years. Older timetable packs like Zermelo and Somtoday are legacy software: batch-era architecture, overnight compute, and UIs glued onto yesterday's constraints. They were never built for modern LLM-assisted constraint solving, real-time cloud recompute, or WhatsApp-native ops. The AI wave finally makes a live autonomous layer possible. Incumbents can't rewrite that stack overnight. We can.
